construction sites the green light to carry on working, construction companies across the UK are issuing robust site procedures for construction workers and site visitors to minimise the risk of spreading COVID-19.

JDK’S Safety Measures
Given the procedures that construction companies are setting down, our cleaning teams are fully briefed to follow these procedures when visiting building sites. We also have in place our own safety measures to ensure our own staff as well as those working on site remain safe from the spread of the virus.
These include:
Accessing the site by pre-determined access points only
Holding all site briefings with clients and staff outdoors
Arranging cleaning schedules at times when there is a minimum amount of people on site (preferably when no-one other than the site supervisor is on site)
Practising social distancing to reduce physical contact between our staff and site workers
Adopting the highest level of sanitisation procedures, including hand washing before entering and leaving the site
Wearing additional PPE over and above our usual workwear including gloves and masks.
Construction Site Cleaning Practices
In addition to delivering post refurbishment and after build cleans, at JDK Cleaning we are now also offering additional services to meet the safety measures which construction sites are putting in place.
For example, if sites have canteens or eating areas, we are able offer a deep sanitisation of this area on a daily basis. This service include cleaning and disinfecting chairs, door handles, vending machines, payment devices and water stations. We will also clean all kitchen facilities including the sink, fridge, other white goods, ventilators and all hard surfaces using colour coded cloths at all times.
We can also deliver an enhanced cleaning regime for all toilet and changing facilities focusing on door handles, locks, toilet flush handles, showers and drying rooms.
Be sure you have suitable arrangements on-site for parking cars and bicycles in a way that limits physical contact between staff. Also, make sure you consider how an employee that falls ill on-site would be taken home.
