JDK Cleaning, has secured a £30 ,000 contract to carry out refurbishment cleans at 52 Tesco stores throughout Wales and the South West of England.
Tesco UK is currently undertaking a mass refurbishment of the toilet facilities in all their stores and JDK Cleaning was approached originally to tender for the post-refurbishment cleans of 12 stores across Wales. However, further to meeting with Fit Out (UK) Ltd, the refurbishment company responsible for managing the Tesco contract, we managed to secure the contract for all 52 stores in Wales and the West.
The first cleans started in Bristol in November with the last cleans due to be completed in Ruthin, Clwyd by 1st March 2019. Like any professional contractor, JDK Cleaning works to a specific and planned timeline and has followed a robust process in terms of planning, adjusting schedules and reporting to the client on progress and delivery. Eight members of staff are dedicated to this account and each member of the team has completed and passed a Tesco specific training course and induction programme.
Says our MD, Jack Kelleher, “We were contacted by Fit Out (UK) Ltd early November to quote for this work. We have invested a considerable amount of funds in pro-active marketing and as a result our brand has a much wider reach and we are now receiving enquiries from national companies. Right from our initial discussion, we assured Fit Out (UK) Ltd that JDK Cleaning Ltd was the partner for them particularly due to our experience of working with other refurbishment companies across the region to deliver an efficient turn-around of cleaning contracts in both student accommodation and leisure venues.
“This Tesco project has been a fantastic company wide effort, with our cleaners delivering such a high standard of finish that we have been engaged by Fit Out (UK) Ltd to provide services for more of their national contracts.”
