JDK Relocates to Accommodate Unprecedented Expansion

JDK Cleaning is relocating its head office premises from Fforestfach to Pontarddulais due to unprecedented expansion.

Over the last three years, the company has grown in line with its strategic development objectives and, as a result, is moving to new commercial premises to accommodate new staff and equipment.

Support during Covid-19

During the past six months alone, and despite the limitations imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, turnover has increased by 10%. This is partly due to the fact that we have invested in specific machinery to allow us to deliver an effective and robust virus cleaning service through our state-of-the-art Storm Ballistic Virus Killer.

We have also been able to deliver an emergency call out cleaning service to specific businesses including care homes who required a fast turn-around in order to re-open.

In recent weeks, we have particularly been working with a number of businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure industries to help them to re-open as safely as possible. We are also cleaning many of these premises on a regular basis with our new virus killer machine as part of their own safety strategy.

During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, when our vans weren’t in full use, we loaned one of these to the team at the team at Canolfan y Bont  who run the Pontarddulais Area food bank for local families in need and vulnerable people.

New Developments

As a result of these initiatives along with our reputation for delivering excellent cleaning standards, we have won a number of new contracts including a deep clean and  sanitisation clean of specific areas of the seven leisure centres and gyms run by Celtic Leisure across Neath Port Talbot.  We are also carrying out a number of summer holiday cleans of student accommodation in Swansea including the Coppergate site on the Kingsway.

We have also invested extensively in new software to allow us to deliver professional and accurate quotes very quickly and efficiently as well as enabling us to deliver targeted email and promotional campaigns to prospects.

And we have a few more ideas up our sleeve which the new, larger business premises will allow us to deliver.

JDK Cleaning

Commenting on this success, JDK Cleaning MD, Jack Kelleher says, “Although we had a solid start to 2020, when lockdown kicked in, we adapted accordingly by furloughing some staff and putting on hold many retained customer contracts.   In fact, we are now offering both new and existing customers a ‘no contract’ agreement for both existing and new clients who are unable to commit to a long-term cleaning contract.

“It wasn’t long before we were back at full capacity by meeting the specific needs of individual industries who required deep sanitisation and virus cleans.  Investing in the new Storm machine has also played a huge part in enabling us to deliver a robust and effective virus cleaning service, giving our customers and their own clients and staff confidence in the standards of cleaning.

“We are very excited about what the future holds for JDK Cleaning, operating from new, larger premises and look forward to many more months of growth and expansion.”
