Six More Months of Unprecedented Growth by JDK Cleaning

Following our reported record of exceptional growth back in December, we are pleased to announce that during the first six months of 2019, this growth level has continued with an increased turnover of 30% compared to the same period in 2018.

Since the start of the year, JDK Cleaning has won several prestigious contracts including:

  1. The refurbishment clean of Plantasia ahead of the venue re-opening on 13 April.

  2. An urgent builder’s clean on one of Morganstone’s care home sites in Maesteg which required a very fast turnaround as the previous commercial cleaning company had let them down

  3. Builder’s and sparkle cleans during the refurbishment of Oldway House in Swansea City Centre to provide 556 en-suite student bedrooms over 12 floors.

  4. Following the successful refurbishment clean carried out at 52 Tesco stores throughout Wales and the South West of England, this July JDK Cleaning has been appointed to carry out further work at 50 more stores across the region.

  5. Appointed by Create Construction to carry out builder’s and sparkle cleans at the new student accommodation block on the Kingsway.

These new contracts have had a substantial impact in terms of increased revenue for the business which is now double compared to the same time last year.  With further new contracts lined up for the rest of the year, the anticipated increase in turnover is for the next six months is 50%.

During this period, MD Jack Kelleher has invested in two new fully branded vans, appointed a new, full-time supervisor and purchased additional, specialist equipment including state-of-the-art scrubber-dryers.  He has also brought in a new accounts manager to handle the day to finances of the company, invested in an i-Cloud rota system and ensure all cleaners have undertaken the relevant Health & Safety training to gain CSCS cards.jdk cl

Commenting on this further six months of growth, Jack says, “Our success is down to our reputation for flexibility and responsiveness when it comes to large and complex cleaning contracts.  We are able to adapt and accommodate any changes to schedules and contracts as we have the staffing levels and experience to enable us to do this.  We have also invested heavily in marketing which has helped to develop our brand across our target market audience and area.”

Jack, who has a background in catering before he branched into commercial cleaning, has also set up a new catering company this year – JDK Catering.  Operating mainly from Pontardulais Rugby Club, the new venture is already benefitting from his own knowledge and experience of this market as well as the association with the JDK brand.
